So it has been over a year since I have posted anything! My life has been a whirlwind ever since and have not even had time to sit down and actually blog! I didn't realize how much I have missed it! I used to keep my blog up for my family and friends that I do not get to see often. Well we have a few updates since 2010! After my last post ( october 9 2010) two special events took place. My son, Anden, turned one that November! We had him a "Bug" themed birthday party hence his nick name' bug" and he had to cutest birthday party! We had bug kits for the kids to take home, bug cupcakes, and the cutest 3 teired bug birthday cake!

Along with Anden turning one, we found out on October 21st we would be adding to our family! Yes, we was expecting another baby! I was 7 weeks pregnant when we found out. At first I was so scared and nervous because this was very un expected, but after the shock wore off we couldn't have been more thrilled!

We found out on February 2, 2011 We would be welcoming a new baby BOY!! Yes , that means I would have TWO rotten little boys! I couldn't have been happier! I love my boys so much and even though one day I would love to add a hair bow to our wardrobe having my two boys is the best thing to ever happen to me! We welcome Eastlan Cole Green to our family on June 8, 2011. He weighed 7 pounds 11 ounces and was 20 and 1/14 inches long. He was a perfect little baby!

Anden has been good with Eastlan for the most part. He still has his "jealous" moments but they are getting better everyday! we cannot got anywhere without "Easie" coming with us lol

Eastlan is almost 8 months now and Anden has since then turned 2 years old! Time flies by way too fast! My babies are getting so big. Eastlan has got his first tooth, learn to sit up and roll over, and this past monday started to crawl! Anden speaks in sentences, can count to 5, name every animal and their sound, knows his colors, and can sing his ABC's with you! I never realized how rewarding being a mother was until I had my kids. They are my everything and life is so much more exciting through their little eyes. I am so blessed to have the perfect little family in my eyes :) God is a AWESOME God!

10 MONTH MILESTONES:

You cry every time he leaves for work:( You are such a growing boy and You are My everything! You make my life so much brighter! I Love you Anden wade!

9 Months!!

Okay so Im a month or so behind but here is his update!! lol

9 MONTH MILESTONES:
You are 28.5 inches tall and weigh in at 23.10 lbs!
You wear size 4 diapers and 18-24 month clothes! Your a big boy!!

You take 2-3 naps a day and you wake up only once if that during the night due to teething.
You eat stage 3 baby foods and we have started letting you taste certain table foods such as mashed potatoes and mac n cheese! You can walk pushin a toy and holding things. You have mastered crawling and you can take a few steps on your own until you realize what you are doing lol We took you on your first vacation! We went to Pigeon forge Tennessee. Mommy and Daddy to you to the aquarium and you loooved it! I think you would have swam with the sharks if we'd let you! You learn something new everyday. You never cease to amaze me! You have 5 teeth and are into EVERYTHING! You can clap, wave, say mama , dada, bye bye, and yes! lol You are my baby genuis!!

I know so many of my family and friends look at my blog for updated things in the green household. I'M SUCH A SLACKER! Chasing a 10 month old( I still can't get used to saying that) is VERY tiring and I am constantly busy busy busy! Anden is growing like a weed!!! He now is 10 months old weighing in at 24 pounds and he is 28.5 inches long, and guess what....HE IS WALKING NOW!! I could cry as I type this. He has change so much since my last post it makes me kind of sad:( I will post updates from where I left off until now so you can see how is has changed month to month. Be back soon with pictures!!

Sorry have been a horrible blogger! This month has been so busy for us! We've had baby showers and cookouts galore! Hopefully we will be able to take our first vacation soon! I plan this month to have a photo session of the family and Anden. We are behind on our pictures! I have started planning Anden's 1st birthday party! Yes, I do know it is still 4 months away but I like to start planning ahead and picking up stuff along the way. Less hectic that way. We are doing a "BUG" themed birthday party and Ihave SO many cute ideas. I can't wait to post pictures!! Ive already got plates, cups, eating essentials , party favors. I have activites planned out too. Im so sad that it is in 4 short months:( Where does the time go??

8 months

Anden turned 8 months old on July 21st. He is crawling now..EVERYWHERE! He pulls up on everything which worries me sick. He is so active and the best little boy in the world. He is still a mommys boy but he loves his grandparents dearly. He can say DADA, MAMA,CLAP, and ,BYE BYE. He looves his My baby can read dvds! He loves for me to read to him and he gets so excited! If he wants to go " bye bye" he will crawl in your lap and wave lol Its the cutest thing! He is getting 2 more teeth on top. That will be a total of 4 teeth!! He is getting so big, but I love it when he learns something new! God has blessed me so so much! I love you Anden Wade!

8 month milestones:

1 You've learned to crawl, and you everywhere now!
2. You can pull up on everything, and you try to take steps. I believe you willbe walking soon!
3. You've learned to say dada, bye bye, and clap

11. You love to swim and swing, and just be outside

Keep this little boy in your prayers. I have no idea who these people are, but they need prayers. I ran across them on a blog and have been upset over what they've been going through. Their little boy was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer back in september when he was 6 months old. They are running out of treatment options and need your prayers. Anden has started crawling! And boy is he EVERYWHERE! lol He loves trying to get into things now, I guess its time to child proof my house ha! He has also learned a new word, "Bye Bye" and he knows what it means! He says Mama and Dada and now bye bye! He is so smart! We also entered him in the 4th of July Pagent at fairview and he won!! That's 2 in a row! I'm proud but all the little babies was so cute how could anybody choose?? I have pictures of his 1st 4th of July that I will post soon! He liked the fireworks( a little bit) but was so tired to really care much for them lol

No he isn't really drinking my sonic drink, but he thinks he's gotta be eating or drinking what you are now so I let him "pretend" to keep him happy lol He is growing and learning new things every day! Where does the time go?? I know I will really be asking that when Anden is grown and in college and has his own place and his own little family! I can't imagine how our moms did it! Gotta go run some errands today so maybe I can squeeze in a few pictures of our day! Have a good one!

Chicken Enchilada Ring

Ingredients:

2 cups cooked chicken ( you can also substitute chicken for hamburger meat)
1/4 cup chopped block olives ( if you do not like olives like aubrey and I you can leave these out)
1 cup cheddar cheese
1 small can chopped chilies, undrained
1/2 cup sour cream
1 package taco seasoning
2 rolls of crescent rolls
1 small chopped tomato
1 lime (juice)( optional)
2/3 cup finely crushed tortilla chips

1. Cook and Chop chicken and add olives, cheese, chilies, sour cream and taco mix. Seed and chop 1 tomato and add 2 tablespoons lime juice; add to chicken mixture. Reserve 2 Tblsp. crushed chips and add remaining chips to mixture.

2.Unroll crescent dough and separate triangles. If these do not unravel like they are supposed to you can still roll out your dough and cut them into however big of pieces you want and wrap them over your chicken mixture.

Arrange on round baking stone or cookie sheet( I used a cookie sheet on my pizza pan) making a circle with wide ends OVERLAPPING in the center and points toward outside. ( I did lightly spray oil on the cookie sheet I used). There should be a 5 inch diameter opening in the center.

3. Spread chicken mixture evenly onto widest end of each triangle.

4. Bring points of triangles up and over filling and tuck under wide ends of dough at the center of the ring.

Sprinkle with 2 Tblsp. crushed chips. ( I put shredded cheese all on top!)

5. Bake @ 375 for 20-25 minutes. Serve with salsa as a dip, salsa and chips, and sour cream.

Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

Ingredients:
1 pkg dark chocolate cake mix
1 pkg instant chocolate pudding mix
1 16 oz sour cream
3 eggs
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Preaheat oven to 350. Grease a bundt pan. Mix together ingredients and pour in pan. Bake for one hour and then cool. Top with powdered sugar!

This is great for dinners or family functions!

Anden's Day out!

Friday, my mom and I took anden to mcdonalds, Yes I know Anden is still too little to play but I love taking him different places and seeing his reaction. We are planning a vacation to Gatlinburg and we are going to take him to the Ripley's Aquarium! I can't wait!!

My Little Winner

Yesterday Anden was in the 4H baby show and I am so exited to say..HE WOOON!! He did so good and was smiling and laughing and didn't cry not once!! This is the 2nd baby show he's been in the first one he got 2nd place and this one he won! I was so proud!

It felt like it was 200 degrees there! We all was drenched in sweat! It also didn't help me wearing a white jacket with my dress, but I did not feel comfortable not wearing it. ( need to loose about 20 + pounds first ha!)

His outfit said " Made in the USA" lol I thought that was cute. It was made by Karissa at Sew Sweet! I just knew I wouldn't have time to make it with all the running I had to do so she saved me! Thanks!

He is such a ham!! He loves attention! When I walked off stage there was this older lady that said" He is such a doll, he really deserved that!) It made me feel so good, even though I do not need a trophy or anyone to tell me my baby is cute because trophy or no trophy he's always the cutest little winner in my book!!

Afterwards, we celebrated by going with the family to O'Charleys....yummmmmmyyyy I love their rolls! Hope everyone has a great Monday tomorrow! I know Anden and I will, Aubrey is off work!! yayy for daddy being home!!

Anden is 7 months old!

Anden is the best thing to ever happen to aubrey and I. We are so blessed to have such a happy and healthy baby. He brightens up our life everyday!! I cannot believe he is over half a year old now:( Makes me sad but excited to see whats to come here int he next few months! Mommy loves you BUG!!

7 month milestones!

1.You are in size 4 diapers and 12 month clothes!

2. You have started stage 2 baby foods, and you started drinking juice. Your love Apple juice and carrot juice.

3.You roll everywhere! You can make it across a room in no time!

Happy Father's Day

I have to say I have been blessed with some amazing Dads in my life. I have my biological dad, my stepdad, My sisters dad who is like a daddy to me, and my father in law. Each one has brought happiness to my life. I am so thankful to have such amazing people in my life.

My daddy is a man who can take on anything. He is very strong and tries his best at what life brings him. The quote "If there's a will, there's a way" reminds me of him. Of all the things he's gone through, he has never gave up and for that I admire so much. Thank you all for being such a big part of my life.

I was so blessed to have such an amazing father in law as well. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He is the most hard working , family oriented man you will meet, and he makes me feel like I'm one of his children too. He is such an amazing grandpa to Anden and Aubrey is just like him.

My stepdad leslie has really brought happiness to our family as well. My mom is so happy and he is so good to my siblings and I. He has always been there if I needed him and I am so thankful to have a awesome step dad & Anden a great Pa!

My Sister's dad, jeff has been in my life since I was 2 years old. I grew up calling him Daddy and still do! He has always been there for me and continues to do so.

This is aubrey's first fathers day and as I type this I cry and smile at the same time. Aubrey and I tried for almost 2 years for a baby, and just when we didn't expect it I was pregnant! I remember the day like it was yesterday calling him on the phone just screaming and crying and that night going to our parents to tell them the great news. Anden has brought so much love and joy in our lives and Aubrey is such an amazing daddy to him. God has truly blessed me with one amazing man to share my life with:

6 months today

The past six months of my life have truly been the BEST 6 months of my life. My dream all my life was to be a wife and mother and being a mom is the greatest thing to ever happen to me. God blessed me with the best, happiest, healthiest baby boy. I am so thankful that God put Anden in my life and that he trusted me to take care of this little miracle! Anden fulfills my life with happiness and joy. The love for your child is a love like no other. Anden learns new things all the time! He is growing so fast!

6 month milestones:

1. you have learned to scream. ha! you like to do just to hear yourself do it. oh and of course when you're mad lol

2. You've got 2 teeth!! momma is so proud of them chompers!

3.If it is in reach you are grabbing at it! You would be into everything if you could crawl or walk lol

4. You eat Stage 2 baby foods. You started yesterday and you love vegetable Chicken. You are not a fan of turkey and rice. You love apple juibe an dpear juice and of course your oatmeal cereal. You still eat 8 ounce bottles as well!

5.You love the water! You try and swim!

6. You try to crawl so much but all you do right now is turn a 360 lol you get so mad!

7. You are very attached to your mommy. I can't leave your site!

8. You recognize strangers and most of the time you are scared of them.

9. You reach for people now and its soo cute! I love it when you reach for your mommy:)

10. You can walk in your walker so your all over the place in that thing!!

11. You love watching cartoons and your educational Dvds. Your favorite cartoon is Dora the explorer! You also love books!

12. You have discovered your feet and you try to chew on them all the time.

13. You wear size 3 diapers and wear 6-9 month clothes and some 12 months.

The last time we weighed you, you weighed 20.2 lbs! You go for your 6 months check up the 25th so we shall see how much you have grew! I love you Anden!!

The Best 1st Mother's Day!

I had the BEST first Mother's Day!! We got ready yesterday morning to go and worship our great heavenly father! We left church and went for a family picnic at the jungle gym! I so wish I had my camera because we put anden in the baby swing and he looved it. He laughed so hard! We all started swinging and going down the slide( which Anden loved too lol) and it felt great to do something as a famly. I was fixing something to eat and I noticed Anden and Aubrey in the laundry room floor, so I got curious and went to sneek a peak and found aubrey and Anden making this for me :) It was the sweetest thing ever. Thanks aubrey and anden you made my day soo special!!! I love you guys more than ALL the jelly beans in the world!!!!:o)

This past weekend has been a devastated one. My heart goes out to all the people who lost their homes and loved ones. We experienced rain like we have never seen before in our state's history. We have had 5 months worth of rain in 2 days. Streets are closed, rescue teams are out in full force, homes have been lost and even a portable classroom from a nearby high school went sailing down I-24. The Cumberland River crested at its highest level in over 80 years! People drowned. Billions of dollars in damage occurred. Did you know that it is the single largest disaster to hit Middle Tennessee since the Civil War?? So many said that they wanted to help but didn't know how. Well I so get that because that is how I felt. I think what I have learned through this is you help how you can. For some that will be helping out physically with removing debris and clearing out homes, for others it will be donating financially, others it may be opening their homes for a family to have shelter. Since we live about 2 hours away, the only we I feel like I can help is to donate money or take up supplies to send in for the victims. So many have lost their homes and had no flood insurance because they saw no need in it withnot being in a flood zone. Can you imagine loosing your home and not having any insurance to rebuild it and still owe on a morgage??? You can text "redcross" to 90999 to donate $10 and it will be billed to your cell phone.

Come one now, I know there's a reason why this great state is called the volunteer state. Let's come together and help these families in need!

What a beautiful Day!

Anden and I had a wonderful day today! It was so pretty outside so after we got our stuff done at home we went to vist Granna for a little bit. Anden loves going places. As soon as I say, "wanna go bye bye?" he goes to pieces! I took some recent pictures of him today with my moms camera and she edited them for me:) I looove taking pictures of Anden as you can tell lol

He is soo active now! He tries to crawl and grab his food out of my hands lol When I give him his sippy cup with juice and put it to side to give him a bite of food he tries to grab his sippy cup lol It is the cutest thing ever!

I was sitting in a chair watching a baseball game and I was looking the other way. Well when I turned back around anden had pulled my sonic cup out of its holder and had the straw in his mouth trying to get a drink!!! How in the world he knew what to do with it is beyond me but I couldn't stop laughing!

P.s. OH! Today my sister shawna found out shes having a boy! She has to be on complete bed rest because she is 50% effaced and thebaby is already head down. She is 21 weeks so please pray the baby doesnt try to come early! Thanks!

5 Months!!

For some reason I always post this a day late...hmm better work on that :0) My baby turned 5 months yesterday. He is such a blessing in my life and I just couldn't imagine life without him now that he is here. Everyday I wake up to a happy, healthy smiling little boy and I thank God for blessing me with that. I love being a mom. I love everything about it. The no sleep, the crying, the poopy diapers, the clingyness, the rocking, the singing, the dancing around cooky to make him smile, packing diaper bags, and my list goes on lol I just LOVE being a mom and I LOVE taking care of Anden. I do have a attachment issue Im gonna have to work on. The grandma's are getting anxious about watching him and him spending the night, but even though Aubrey cut the cord at birth, I believe its still attached somewhere haha I can't help it. I know its good for them to be away from us and I enjoy having 5 min of just "me" time, but I just feel so lost without him. Like I am bored haha . He keeps me company and we hang together lol I always have somebody with me and he just loooves me soo much and that feeling alone is just heart swelling. When he reaches for me and when he wakes up he just wants to cuddle and I just soak up every minute of it!! I love that kid ssiighh lol

5 month milestones!!

1. You wear 6-9 month clothes now. You wear a size smaller in shorts or pants because bless your heart you take after your momma being short lol

2. You started eating rice cereal and you love it! We mix it with fruit now and you just gobble it right up:) Your favorite fruit is peaches:)

3. You are also on Stage 1 baby food. You eat carrots, squash, sweet peas, sweet potatoes, green beans, and fruits ,such as, peaches, bananas, pears, applesauce, prunes. You HATE peas and green beans so you give momma a hard time when eating those. Your favorites are peaches and squash, and sweet potatoes but your ALL time favorite veggie is carrots! You LOOVE them!

4. You weigh 20.2 lbs and are 25 1/4 inches long

5. You wear size 3 diapers...Your a big boy:) but I love every roll of you!

6. You sit up all by yourself now! Yay! You still have to work on balancing but you will get the hang of it soon!

7. You are starting to want to play with your toys now. I can sit you in the floor and you will smack and rattle and chew on all your toys. Its fun just to sit and watch you play. No wonder I get nothing done!

8. You reach for people to pick you up now. I love this:) Its too sweet!

9. You love to bounce in your jumperoo! You could bounce in that thing all day long if I'd let you lol You go wild in it!

10. You roll over from your belly to back and you almost roll from your back to belly! It won't be long!

11. You love going strolling with mommy. I will go walking and you will just sit and your stroller and look and your as content as can be!

12. You love bathtime and your starting to splash around and you get a kick out of splashing now!

I could go on and on but these are the highlights:) He learns something new everyday!!

Much Needed Update!

OK So I am now really behind on blogging! I told myself I was gonna be a better blogger and update on Anden all the time but my day is almost completely full of things to do with Anden and my Sew Bella orders I rarely have time to sit down for me. Im typing this super super fast because I just know Anden will wake up any second since I have sat down to blog LOL My sweet baby will be 5 months the 21st!!!!!!!!!! Time goes by so fast and he is learning and growing more and more everyday. He sits up now and is getting better at it all the time! He tried to roll over from back to belly and he tries to crawl too! He is eating baby food now and lOOOOVVEESS carrots and peaches haha! Since my last post he has had his first easter! With the help of a friend I made him his first easter basket and filled it with learning toys and rattles! He loves watching his ABC and 123 videos and First words dvd. He just bounces in his jumperoo and laughs and coos. He is the happiest baby!! I could go on and on about how wonderful he is so I better stop lol Have a great rest of the week!

4 month milestones

12. You can stand up when we hold your arms and you try to take steps!!
13. When you are ready to sleep , you only want your mama to rock you:)

My baby is getting bigger and bigger everyday. each day it seems he does something new or funny! His personality is starting to show! We had his first easter pictures taken saturday for relay for life! He got his pictures made with a real bunny! He was such a good sport!

It has nearly been a month since I've last posted!! Ive never been this bad at blogging, but hey I have a 4 months old who insists I give ALL my attention to him every second of the day so give me a break lol Aubrey and Anden had the crud a couple weeks ago and on top of all that we have just been super busy! Ball season has started back up! I can't wait for the sunshine to come and stay so we can take Anden to the ball park and show him off for the first time!! So exciting! Anden is growing way too fast! He said Mama I swear the other day. I walked in the room and as plain as day he said " Ma..Ma" everybody heard it. It melted my heart!! He tries to talk and roll over from him back to belly so hard! I believe he is gonna do everything early. He is starting to teeth. He knaws on his fists and drools like something crazy! He just feels everyday with so much love and happieness and my heart just bursts with love!! Here are a BUNCH of updated pictures of him! This is probably going to be a long post since I have been a terrible blogger here lately! My sweet Anden turned 3 months old yesterday! I cannot believe he is already 3 months! I know I say that everytime but it just goes by so fast! I had to take him to the doctor saturday because he woke up with a dry cough and it scared me so I took him down to the doctor to have him listen to his chest. He tested for RSV and it came back negative thank goodness. He told me to keep him under a vaporizor and give him saline drops in his nose and just let it runs its course. ITS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST FEELING IN THE WORLD TO KNOW YOUR BABY IS SICK AND DOESN'T FEEL GOOD AND YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT! All babies want their mommies when they are sick. Anden has been so clingy to me and it breaks my heart to know he feels bad:( I took his 3 month old picture and you can tell he doesn't look like the normal anden :( I pray so hard that he gets better soon!

3 month milestones!

1. You are in size 2 diapers now!
2. You wear 3-6 month clothes and mommy looves dressing you up all the time!
3. You can support your upper body really good now when laying on your belly!
4. you laugh and smile ALL the time( unless your sick :( )
5. You try to talk to mommy and daddy sooo bad!!

8. You are a BIG mommys boy!! and everyone knows it! When I walk into a room its like you try to reach for me so bad! It melts my heart :)

10. You love mommy reading to you..you just smile and try to talk to me while Im reading.
11.You have also discovered your hands and you try to eat them all the time hehe

Anden had a very BIG first valentines! Aubrey and I got him a big dog stuffed animal,his nana got him some really cool toys, and his granna went shopping and bought him TONS of new clothes for sizes now and when he is bigger like 12 months because all clothes at the childrens place was 1.97!!! I cant ever say he needs clothes haha

We had our first family pictures took saturday! I was so excited to finally have some of the family.We went up to my friends chandi's grandparents cabin and took some pictures by the fireplace. We have one or two pictures outside with the snow( I told mom hurry and take the picture so I can get Anden back inside lol) I wanted a few with the snow.

I want to tell you that I did try to put shoes on this kid but some was either too small or too big or he pitched a FIT when I put them on and would just kick them right back off, I did try though! So I told mom just take a picture without them because I do not want him crying in these pictures lol

I loved how these turned out. I am so thankful to have a mom so talented at taking pictures that whenever I need pictures I can count on her to take some beautiful ones! Let me know what you think! Have a good rest of the week!

BIG SNOW 2010!!

I enjoyed the snow so much! I didn't get to get out in it, other than to get some for snow cream, but I haven't seen a snow like this since I was a little girl! I can just see now anden out there rolling around in it and him and daddy throwing snow balls at me lol I can see it now! This was Andens first big snow too. We had a fun day inside spending time with each other. I love being able to be at home and play with my baby all day:)

Anden loves it when we lay in the floor and play and he sometimes doesn't mind me taking his pictures lol He has gotten to where he likes to watch tv now. He watched scooby doo this morning lol I have some learning videos that I am going to start playing for him. Never too young to start learning!

I took anden to the window to let him watch the snow fall and he just smiled and cooed:) This was his first big snow!

My little guy turned 2 months old today! I cannot believe how time has flew! This is gonna be a pretty long post because I have several things to talk about! Anden went for his 2 month checkup today. He has reached all of his 2 month milestones and more! He is growing so much so fast! My little guy has made a new discovery as well!

2 Month Milestones!

12 lbs and 2 oz

22 1/4 inches long

What you are doing at 2 months old:

1. You can lift your head and look around really good now! You are such a nosey little baby :o)

2. When we stick out our tongue you mock us!

3. You love to laugh and smile, especially when mommy and daddy are talking to you:)

4. You try to splash the water during bath time now! It wont be too much longer until you are splashing water out of the tub!

5. You rolled over from your tummy to your back!! doctor says thats amazing to him because most babies do not do that until 4 months!

6. You eat 6 oz of milk every 3-4 hours!

7. You are starting to coo very often now especially when you first wake up! you always wake up in a good mood.

8. You sleep through the night most of the time now! If you do happen to wake up you only wake up once around 5 am.

9. You are a mommas boy for sure! you follow with me with your eyes everywhere I go, and when you want to be picked up you holler at me lol

10. You love going on car rides already! when we put you in your carseat you just smile and coo:)

You are the best baby I could ever had dreamed of having. You fill my life with so much joy more than you could EVER imagine.

Yesterday I survived Anden's closet! I went through all of Anden's clothes and organized his closet. He has outgrew so many of his clothes already! I boxed up 4 bags of clothes. It made me so sad! I really believe that Anden has more clothes than I have had my whole life lol I feel kinda ashamed to post these pictures but its ridiculous of how much clothes this kid has! AND how many shoes he has and on top of that, how many hats and socks does a 6 weeks old baby need?? I LOVE clothes don't get me wrong but I was in awe of all that he had. I am so thankful for everyone who has bought him stuff and I know my baby will never be without clothes. But after seing all that, I'm kinda nervous about having a little girl hahaha

P.s. this is not including all his clothes in his armoir as well !

Making Decisions is Hard

I have to admit that having a child wakes you up to alot of things you probably did not ever think about or had to think about. I knew that I needed to eventually go back to school and back to work but I never realized how hard it would be. Aubrey and I both want me to stay home with Anden but I just feel that if I do go back to work that it would give us extra money for one thing, I would feel more secure about us building our house and moving soon, and we would be able to provide for Anden and give him the things that we want to give him.

I mean we could give him those things now it would just be a little bit harder. I know that God will bless us with whatever he feels is best for us and I trust in him to take care of us, it has just got me thinking about things. I had a job oppurtunity come up and I do not know if I should apply and try and get it or not. It is part time and is a good job. The days for sure would be monday from 8-430, fridays 8-5, and saturdays until 12 and if anybody went on vacation it would probably fill in for them. It just makes me cry to think about leaving Anden even if its just 3 days a week!

I feel like he is too young for me to go back to work( he is almost 2 months) but then again the extra money I would bring in we could put back in our savings for whenever we need it. But its like my friend chandi said even if aubrey made double what he makes we could always "use" the extra money, but that we are okay with what we are doing now. And my mom said I shouldn't put a price tag on everything which is true but I am just thinking about Anden.

I just really do not know what would be the best thing. I know we could "use" the extra money but is it really worth leaving Anden for those 3 days? even though it would benefit him too ughhh decisions!!!!!!!!!!!! maybe yall can give me some advice:( I mean who would want to leave that sweet face lol :(

Since it has been 10 degrees for the past few days, Anden and I have been stuck at home. There is only so much cleaning and watching lifetime movies that I can take ha! I absolutely love being at home with Anden, but being at home and not getting out of the house is starting to get to me lol. Anden has been a trooper. He done so good sleeping last night. He only woke up one time! He is a early bird though! He usually wakes up around 6:00 to eat and then we have our playtime in the floor lol He loves our morning playtime. He just smiles and tries to laugh. It is so sweet! I cannot get over how much he looks like Aubrey everyday! He is growing and changing so much TOO fast. Where does the time go? I cannot believe it is already going on 2 months!

I do have some questions that I need you Moms out there to leave me your advice. Anden will be 2 months old the 21st. I am still nursing but I am having to supplement with formula alot more here recently because I am not producing enough to keep up with this little booger.( I am no moo cow, for some reason I do not produce alot of milk lol) He is already eating up to 5 and 1/2 ounces, and he seems to still not be satisfied? I do not want to over feed him especially with me supplementing with formula, I do not want to give him a belly ache. He eats about every 2 hours. Is there any explanation why he eats so much??

On another note, lets all go do a snow dance because I really want to see one good snow before summer gets here! Hope all is well and everyone is having a great week. STAY WARM!

2009 Recap

2009 has been a year that I will never forget. It is the year I finally became pregnant. This year has been so great for us. We have created so many memories and had the most amazing experiences that has changed our lives forever.

The birth of our son was the highlight of the year of course and I am a bit sad to leave 2009 but I know that 2010 has so much more exciting things waiting to happen!

I want to set goals for myself for 2010. There are so many things I want to improve and do better on but I narrowed it down to the 5 most important on my list.

1. I want to be a better wife and continue to be "super mom" :) I have neglected my husband alot this year. I was pregnant majority of the year and those who have been pregnant know that you want to do absolutely nothing lol You feel bloated and tired and in my case sick and you just aren't the biggest fan of staying up late and watching tv together, cooking dinner, or washing up loads of laundry everyday. This year I want to spend more time with my husband because he deserves it. He works so hard to provide for our family and he allows me to stay home with anden which I love more than anything. He is so good to us and I want this year to be full of family time:) I also pray that I am the best mom my son could ever ask for.

2. I want to get mroe involved with our Lord. Yes I pray every day and strive the live my life for him, but I want to do MORE. I want to go to church every sunday..I want to read my bible more..I want to be more involved with my church family. The lord has blessed aubrey and I in more ways that we could have ever imagined. He continues to bless us every day and I want to give him more of my time. I want Anden to grow up in church and I want God in his life. We as parents can do that for him.

3. I want to be a better friend. Here lately it has seemed like I have been nothing but a homebody and haven't kept close to my friends. I want to make time for those special people because I know life is short and I want those people to know how much they mean to me.

4. I want to spend more time with my family. My mom/MIL and my siblings etc. I cannot believe how much time flies and we need to cherish every moment we have with the ones we love. I hope to do that this year.

5. Lastly, I want to try things that I have always wanted to try and never made the time to. I want to go on vacation as a family, I want to learn to cook more, I can't wait to start creating ideas for our house we are building, I just want to live life to its fullest. Each minute we waste is a minute we can't ever get back. Make the best of each and every day. That is my goal this year!

Anden's 1st Christmas!

Anden had such a big 1st Christmas. He got all kinds of toys, clothes, and money! He was the best christmas present aubrey and I could have asked for. We had so much fun taking him to christmas dinners and showing him off to our families:) I hated that I didn't get to put his picture in the paper for baby's first christmas, but I did not know about it until I read the paper lol His birth announcement should come out soon:) I hope everyone had a BIG christmas and I cannot wait to see what this new year has to bring us:) Love to all and Happy Holidays!

A Day late

My Baby officially turned 1 month old yesterday:( Time really does fly right on by! We took him today for his one month checkup and he now weighs 8 lbs and 11 ounces! He is one growing boy! Everything looks great and Doc said I have one beautiful healthy baby boy, and I can't argue:o)

10 Things Anden can do now:

1. He can now lift his head really good

2. He looves bathtime!

3. When we have belly time he almosts rolls over and pushes his legs to crawl already! He is soo strong!

4. He recognizes mommys voice and turns to find me when he hears me speak:)

5. He loves his granna and his nana:) he is so good for them lol

6. He mimicks you! You can stick your tongue out at him and he does it back!

7. He loves the song "Rock-a-bye baby"

8. He also loves it when mommy reads to him. He will just sit and listen and stare at the pages. His favorite book is " Llama Llama Red Pajama"

9. He has outgrew is NB clothes and now can fit in 0-3 months and some 3 months onesies:(

10. He sleeps really good already! He wakes up only once maybe twice during the night now

He is the greatest thing to happen to aubrey and I and we cannot thank God enough for this little miracle of ours:) Hope everyone has a merry Christmas and a happy new years!!

It has been pretty busy in the green household here lately, of course, everyone who has a baby or kids knows you just do not have enough time in the day! I really didn't understand this or pay to much attention to that fact until I had anden. You really wake up and before you know it it is time for bed again! I just love motherhood. There isn't anything in the world that compares to it. Aubrey and I have so much love in our hearts for each other and Anden that we are just constanty smiling and staring at him lol Here are some updated photos of our little man. He lost 5 oz at the hospital and weighed 6 lbs and 6 oz when we came home. Since then he has gained 6 oz and now weighs 6 lbs 12 oz. Since my last post he has had his first sponge bath, his first thanksgiving, his first trip to the hospital( will explain later), his belly button clamp has came off, had his first visit to nana and granna's house, his first tub bath, his first snow( even though he didn't get to go outside in it:o), and today his first time going to church. I was kinda hesitant about taking him to church but we really needed to go and get back on track again. He did really good and luckily nobody touched him they just looked and aww'd lol I am going to post more pictures and some hospital pictures soon too . Now, for the explanation for the hospital trip. When Anden was born, he was born with a hemotoma on his head. The doctors at Vanderbilt said it was from where the nurse put the fetal monitor on this head and it busted a blood vessel. I was so mad when I found this out but there is no reason to point blame, it is over with and Anden is okay but it still makes you mad when your baby is hurt. Well back to the point. He was born with it and it was quite large. Dr. chandler his pediatrician( whom I LOVE) stayed with Anden late into the night watching him at the hospital when most doctors wouldn't have. He even called a neurologist to come take a look at it. what a hematoma is is a collection of blood on top of the skull. Its between the skull and the skin. Thank God it had not crossed any suture lines and was trapped where no blood could seap through. I am still thanking God for that. Well dr. chandler referred us to Dr. Chung at Vanderbilt Children's hospital thursday and it was only supposed to be a consultation. We get there and they do ultrasounds and a brain scan just to be sure of everything. Of course I was a complete basket case the whole time they was doing ultrasounds on him. We go back upstairs after to see the doctor again and he tell us everything is fine and that he wants to go ahead and drain it that day! I start bawling and the doctor goes, "You want me to wait?" lol I said No because I know it needed it done. He told us that if it was half the size we would just leave it alone and let the body reabsorb it but with it being so big he was afraid it would bust. So they take Anden back and I just fell into aubreys arms crying like I have never cried before. Its the worst feeling in the whole entire world to see your baby hurt and there isn't anything you can do about it. It took probably 5 minutes ( they numbed it first) and it was done and anden's head look so much better! He was just looking around and as soon as I held him he was much calmer. I am so glad I do not have to worry about that anymore! He is the best baby he eats good and sleeps good and I just love him so much. I finally feel like I have a purpose and its to take care of him. He depends on me and its the greatest feeling:) Well, I hope everyone had a great thanksgiving and I hope everyone is super excited about christmas being right around the corner! I know I am!!

I just wanted to write this post to let everyone know that baby anden is here! He weighed 6 lbs and 11.4 oz and was 20.5 inches long. He was born November 21, 2009 at 3:08 p.m. My water broke friday night around midnight. We rushed down to MTMC and got admitted. I was in labor for 15 hours! I was very lucky that I did not have much pain at all. When I was dilated to 4 is when I recieved my epidural. It worked great at first but then stopped working so they had to end up giving me a spinal block as well. Around 2:30 p.m. I was dilated to an 8 and the nurse told me whenever you start to feel alot of pressure or the urge to push have someone come get me. It was about 30 minutes later I started to feel lots of pressure and had my mom go get the nurse. She checked me and sure enough it was time for anden to be born! I was really sick to my stomach from the epidural so as I was fixing to start pushing I got sick! This is actually a funny part because me getting sick is what got anden to crown LOL I pushed 3 or 4 times and then anden was born! The delivery was absolutely perfect. I had no pain and didn't have to push long at all. When I seen the doctor holding anden and hearing his little cry it all became so real to me. I mean I know I have been pregnant for 9 months and felt him kick inside me and watch him grow but seeing him for the first time and the doctor placing him on my belly for me to hold is when it became so real that I was finally a mom. The room was filled with happy tears and aubrey cut the cord. I am so proud of him. He has done so great with him and he is so protective of him! He is an awesome daddy. After the delivery it started to go down hill. They transferred me to a regular room and we was getting everything situated when I started bleeding really bad. The nurse came in and started pressing on my belly to help me pass the blood clots and the get my uterus to start to harden back up. When this happened I started hemmorhaging and passing bloog clots left and right. I do not remember much of what happened because I was in and out of it from loosing so much blood, but I do remember being in so much pain. They couldn't get the bleeding to stop so they had to take me back tolabor and delivery to hook me back up to patassum( sp?) to get my uterus to start contracting again. After that I became stable and everything seemed to be good until I learned about Anden. Where he didn't have much room to grow in my belly and he flipped so early he had a bad bruise on the back of his head that was filled with blood. Thank God its on top of his skull instead of inside. His pediatrician said that it will go down in time and it will not effect any development. Until then we have tobe very careful with his head and to not let a whole bunch of people hold him and pass him around because it can cause soreness to him. Other than that he is perfect in every way! He is such a good baby so far! He sleeps good, eats good, and never cries unless he is hungry or wants changed. I just love him so much and it is so true that your heart is just bursting with unconditional love for your baby. Just keep him in your prayers please. We want a fast recovery for him! here are a few pictures and of course I will post more soon!

My mother in law has stuck her hands into the crafting world with me! She loves a challenge so when she seen this idea she just had to go home and try it out. These purses are soo adorable! They make great purses, diaper bags, school bags, etc! You can customize these all kinds of ways. She has taught me how to make these too and they are so much fun! I am just so happy me and her have something we can do together that we enjoy doing. She has taught me so much how to cook, how to sew, how to get aubrey around my finger lol I am just so thankful to have such wonderful in laws. You can make these in adult sizes or children sizes. This is one I made for me:) I just loove the colors and it sure has been a hit. I love how I did the matching pocket inside. Damask print is absolutely beautiful and elegant. I see a few christmas presents in the making:)

Saturday trip to the boro

Last night I started hurting pretty bad and had alot of pressure around my pelvic area. I just thought well this is normal, Im short, baby is getting bigger, that is just how it is. well I get up this morning and I am hurting so bad I can barely walk. So I call my doctor and he advises me to come in to be checked. I get down there in labor and delivery and they hook me up to the machine to hear babys heartbeat and to see if I am having any contractions. Turns out I WAS having contractions but I was not dilated.( which is a good thing). He said what I was experiencing was pelvic girdle pain which is when the two bones soften to prepare for labor it can cause minor to intense pain especially on someone as short waisted as I am. They have this test they do now which I thought was totally awesome, but they take a swab from you and test it and the test reveals if you will have the baby within the next 2 weeks. My test came back negative so unless mother nature occurs I should be good for another 2 weeks( hopefully longer!). He told me that I probably am just on my feet too much and with the contractions I am going to feel discomfort. I just hope I can endure the pain to come in labor! After today I am kinda nervous. Any advice or anything anyone can say from your experience that could help me I would love to hear it!

I went for my 33 week appointment yesterday, and baby Anden is doing excellent! His heartbeat was 152 BPM! He is such a healthy baby! The doctor told me to come back in 2 weeks and he will then start checking to see if I have dialted any! I can't believe this pregnancy is almost over! It has flew by so fast and I am so thankful to have had such a fantastic pregnancy. God has really took care of me and anden over the last 8 months and every test I had to take came back with excellent results. I cannot wait to meet this precious baby, my son Anden:)

I just want to take some time before I go to bed to thank everyone who came to my baby shower. I just loved being able to catch up and see people that I haven't got to in awhile. Thank you for all the wonderful presents everyone got me( well anden lol) and just thanks again for coming. It meant alot to me that you wanted to participate in a day to celebrate my baby:) I am truly blessed with such great friends who care already so much about anden. I am starting "Sew Bella". This is my new custom embroidery shop. I have had a machine( which was a birthday gift from the hubby) since March and have been tinkering around making things for Anden and some family and friends. With alot of encouragement from my family and friends ahemm chandi lol I recently decided to open up an online store to do this so that I will be able to stay at home with the baby when he gets here. I do not sew or make clothes all I do is personalize items that will be featured in my store and of course items you bring to me or have me make for you! My Show Dog, birthday girl, and WICKED!

Yesterday was full of exciting things! Early yesterday morning they had the dog show at the fair. It was the first year I have put Harlow in it and was just so excited about it! I almost didn't put her in it because one of the catagories I wanted to put her in was costume and she didnt have any! Luckily my best friend chandi had been making some tutu's for the autumn street fair and made one small enough for harlow! She will have these for purchase at the autumn street fair also. We both have a booth side by side so come see what we have to offer you! Anyways harlow was the cutest darn ballerina int he world:) We got there and thank goodness she loved all the dogs she was around. The first contest was costume. She got 2nd! I was just so tickled ! The second catagory I put her in was the professional grooming catagory. I always have so many compliments on how white harlow is and how fluffy and pretty she is but had no idea what was about ot happen! She got first place in her catagory! I knew my baby was beautiful but I am a little biast I think:) After the judging was over I was asked to stay and all the first place ribbons in the grooming division was to be judged. SHE AGAIN GOT 1ST PLACE!! She got a rosette ribbon for being the best of class in the Grooming division. I truly felt like a proud momma! lol Her groomer was there and couldn't have been prouder for "baby harlow" as they call her:o) We will be in the paper too! After that I went to a special little girl's 1st birthday! Thats right my baby cousin addison turned one! I cannot believe how time flies! I dont want it to go by fast with my little one:( Her party was done in tinkerbell and chandi and momma made her the cutest tutu to match her tinker bell costume!!! she was adorable! Happy Birthday Addie!! Last night my dad and I headed to Nashville to watch the musical play WICKED! It was ammaazzing! I loved the story and the people had incredible voices! I love muscials! I have watched Phantom of the Opera on Broadway in new york but wicked had it beat by far! I had an awesome saturday! oh also I am 30 weeks pregnant! only 9 more weeks until the baby could be here! getting excited and more tired everyday lol have a blessed rest of the week!!

So I went to the doctor today for my regular checkup and the doctor said I have a perfect baby boy! His heart beat was strong and fast he was very active today! Its getting closer for him to be here and I had so many questions so my poor doctor had a lot of answering to do for me today LOL I just love my doctor he answered all my questions with a smile! He said that if everything goes the way it should that he is going to have me come in November 21 to have him! My original due date is the 28th so he said If the baby is good and healthy( and is ready) and Im good that its a GO on the 21st ! I cannot wait for him to be here! I went to the hospitial today and picked up our pre-registration forms and brought them home for aubrey and I to fill out! I was giggling and squeeling the whole time feeling them out LOL I got to fill out the paper for all his birth certificate information and writing his name on it just made me smile super big!!! Well off to bed its been a looong day. Murfreesboro traffic is terrible! oh and to top it off before heading down to my doctor, aubrey and I was sitting in the living room and all of sudden heard a big BOOM, and seen my tahoe jump from side to side. We ran out and come to find out our neighbor's, across the street, car came out of gear and rolled into our tahoe! It only dented the bumper but I was soo thankful because I was fixing to get in the vehicle to grab us a bite to eat. I could have been in the vehicle when it happened or if I had left it would have rolled through our living room! Thank You God for watching over us! Tomorrow is the fair..yaayy for funnel cakes and caramel apples LOL

I have always been into scrapbooking but hardly ever find the time to be able to sit down and finish one. I have one of me and aubrey up until right before we got married and then its still unfinished( maybe I will finish that one next). I wanted to do one for anden so why not start it now while I still have two hands huh! I started it by telling about the day I found out I was pregnant, oh what an exciting day that was, and I used my first belly picture which was taken at 8 weeks! The second page talks about my doctors visits and monring sickness and all the things about my pregnancy. The third page has all my belly pictures up until 27 weeks. I will continue to add to it the further along I get. After that I just gotta wait until Anden is here so we can fill those scrapbook pages right up! Hope everyone had a great day off!

I start this month going every two weeks, and then in October I start going every week to the doctor. This has really flown by! I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable labor day!

He is growing bigger everyday! He is also getting much sronger! He kicks so hard sometimes it takes my breath! He also likes jumping on my bladder like its a trampoline LOL Im starting to gain MORE of my baby weight( so far its only been 15 lbs all together, which my doctor says is great for me being 7 months along) but its okay because I am pregnant and I except the fact that you get bigger during pregnancy. You can always loose it afterwards. Im just so thankful everyday for God blessing me with Anden and I cannot wait until he is here! I have so much to do coming up! Baby shower in september, I start going every 2 weeks to the doctor this month, I have so much planning to do because he will be here before we know it! I gotta contact my pediatrician, talk to my doctor about delivery plans, attend birthing classes( yes aubrey and I are going because this is our first child and we want to know EVERYTHING we can before he gets here),I also would like to find a breast feeding class to go and get some tips and advice on breast feeding. I have been so stressed out worrying about how breastfeeding will be. I worry I wont do it right lol Mom says to stop stressing it will come natural, but I think its normal for me to worry dont you think? Anyways, I go tomorrow to help sign up aubrey's little cousin for the fair pagent. I loove fair time! food booths, candy apples, and funnel cakes OH MY! lol

All the nursery needs is just some finishing touches. I need to do hang his curtains which are chocolate brown, hang shelves so I can put some stuffed animals and some sports knick Knacks, my stepdad is making him some vinyl wall art quote that says,"Never Let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game." He also wnats to make some vinyl murals relating to sports to go on his walls too.I thought it would go perfect with his sports theme room. Everything else is pretty much done. I have his clothes put away( he already has more clothes than I do, but I LOVE it). Here are some pictures for all you who have texted and emailed me wanting to see what I have done so far. Well here it is! Ill post pictures when I have the other stuff up too!

WELCOME TO ANDEN'S ROOM! This picture was taken looking into his room. Like I said still gotta hang some stuff up but you get the picture lol

This is his crib. I just loove it. We was originally going to do the furniture in white, but we thought white would stay dirty and cherry just looked so beautiful with all his stuff. We got an awesome deal on his bed too so that helped!

This is my changing table I got. I had thought about getting a dresser/changer combo, but I loved the idea of putting baskets underneath for organizing his hygeine necessities. The first row of baskets will hold his burp cloths, wipes, and his hats. The second row will hold his bath stuff, towels and wash cloths, and recieving blankets. I have some baskets that are red and blue that I am going to hold his toys in and they will slide underneath his bed.

This is the view inside his bed. I love the crib bedding we decided on. Aubrey has always been involved in sports, and Im sure our son will be too lol Aubrey wanted to be the one to put his bedding in and attach his bumper. It was so cute watching him I wish I had my camera then lol

My mother in law had seent his rug at lowes and called me to come look at it. When I got there to see it I HAD to get it because it matches his room to a TEE!! My little sports man:)

Here are a few of his figurines and knick knacks that I'm gonna put around his room. I also have some frames that are sporty that I'm gonna frame his ultrasound pictures in. I also have a cherry collage frame I'm gonna hang up and put his first pictures in. I cannot wait!

His cute window valence that I got with his bedding. The baby crib has great stuff let me tell ya! Im also gonna hang some chocolate brown curtains under the valence so it won't look boring for long:)

Here is our armoire. I love it! The right side with the long door, inside of it has shelves and a hanging bar. This is already full of onesies, gowns, shoes, and outfits lol I just love clothes! and thanks to some friends who donated some stuff to my sweet baby!

Can't you tell he is already a very spoiled and loved baby?! LOL

My mother in law would kill me for posting this but I just love it so much. She made this to go on his door and it just means so much to me! I just love it! and I just love her too!

Also Brandie Mansfield made these canvases for me! I wanted his name spelled out on canvases, but I did not want it all on one so I told her each letter on a different canvas so I can hang it above his crib! They turned out more perfect than I could have imagined! You can steal these pictures if you want brandie! I also am having my maternity shoot coming up and we plan on taking some shots in his room so Ill send you a picture of that too!

I believe his room is my favorite room in the house lol I cannot wait to post the rest of the pictures when his room is COMPLETELY done!

Angie Smith and her Husband Todd Smith( lead singer in the christian group Selah) lost their babygirl audrey caroline last april. I could NOT even begin to imagine the hurt this family had to go through but because they had God in their lives he helped them through his horrible time and made them stronger spiritually and all. I sobbed my eyes out after hearing this. Even though audrey didnt make the entrance into this world like they had thought, you still grow this incredible bond while your child is in the womb. Your already protective of your child, you worry about your child, and have all different emotions for your child, and to not be able to watch your child you grew inside you grow up is just a devastating thought! I probably do not need to be watching things like this while I am pregnant but I had to share this in honor of little miss audrey. Angie and her husband wrote this song for their baby girl who is in heaven. Im sure you guys will love this song as much as I do.

Sweet Audrey,

There are no words I could say in this letter that would be able to express what you are to us, but I feel compelled to write them anyway.

Do you know you changed the world?

From the day we found out we were expecting you, we knew that God had chosen you for our family. When we started feeling you move around, we invented stories about who you would be. We took bets on whether you were a boy or a girl (daddy was wrong!). Abby and Ellie set aside toys that they wanted to give to you. Your daddy let me buy books at the bookstore about being pregnant, even though we already have a million. He knows I love the smell of books, and he just watched with a smile while I gathered them all together. We talked about you all the time. Our house was filled with love for you long before we ever knew who you would be to us. We let Kate help us set up a crib in her room while we told her that she was going to have a baby brother or sister sleeping next to her someday. We introduced her little toddler bed and taught her all about being a big sister. She loved her freedom...we found her in the pantry eating chocolate at 3 a.m. one night! And so for weeks, we planned. We talked about names, about paint, about schools, about everything but the one thing we didn't know.

God had something much bigger planned for your life than we could ever have imagined.

On January 7th, we heard the beginning of the story. You kicked while I listened to them tell me that I should let you go. You, unable to say a word, spoke volumes as we considered what had been laid before us. Audrey, there really was never a choice. You were ours from the moment God ordained it so. There were moments in the darkness during that time when I worried that maybe we should give you to God. We didn't want you to suffer, and we knew that as soon as you were with Him, you would be at peace. Were we selfish for trying to keep you here? We knew before we let ourselves travel into those thoughts that they were lies. That decision was not for us to make. We settled into the reality of "our new life," and the stacks of books on pregnancy gave way to scripture.

Did you know that while you were in my tummy, you went to the beach, to Disney World, to the ballet, to the zoo, to the symphony, to pick out our puppy, to the children's theatre, to listen to daddy sing, to church, to Poppy's house...and so many more places. I talked to you about how the laundry machine worked, told you about all our neighbors, and taught you how to choose a ripe pineapple at the grocery store. I never stopped talking to you. You were my daughter, and I loved you like I love your sisters. We prayed for you all the time. Our prayers changed with the days. We never, ever doubted that God could heal you. I know you know that. I know you felt that. But I still feel compelled to tell you that we believed, Audrey. And the fact that you are with Him as I type these words does not change that belief. There is not a single moment that passes when I question His will for your life.

I will never, never forget the day you were born. Nobody who was a part of it will, either. April 7th was one of the best days of my life. You made me brave, Audrey-girl. Your mommy used to be afraid of the hospital, afraid of the noises and the smell of medicine. My whole life, I have been afraid. I wasn't afraid that day. I was peaceful. I was calm. I was in the presence of the Lord Himself more than any other time in my life. I listened as they told me about what would be happening that day, and I nodded. I surrendered. I stopped worrying about me and I just fell into the arms of the Lord. He carried us all that day, didn't He?

At 4:31, I heard a nurse say, "She's out." Daddy said, "She's out?" and he peeked around to see them carrying you to a table nearby. I thought I heard you squeaking and I asked if you were alive. Daddy looked at me and he nodded. "She's alive." I couldn't believe it. The doctors looked you over and they listened to your heart. They cleaned you off a little bit and then daddy laid you right beside my head. You had one little eye opened and you were trying to take it all in. I was too. I put my hands on your head and just started crying because you were so beautiful. I fell completely, head-over-heels in love with you the instant I met you. That's who you are, Audrey.

When we got back to the room, your Uncle Tom was already taking pictures. Do you know that he took about 1600 that day? We rejoiced in telling everyone that you were alive. Your heart was moving slowly, and we knew that it was a matter of time before we would have to release you, but no one would have known that. For the rest of the day, people held you, touched you, talked to you, and prayed for you. And everybody smiled when they saw you. There weren't many tears, because in a way, we weren't sad. We were just too busy praising God for you to be sad.

Your daddy gave you a bath while I watched. He got all of your little tootsies clean, and I watched the water run down the back of your neck as he held you up. Her first bath...

One of my favorite moments was when they put you on the scale. You were much bigger than they thought you were ever going to be, and it felt like victory. "3 pounds, 2 ounces!" As soon as the announcement was made, the room broke out into cheers. Did you know that your daddy's birthday is 3/2? Those are beautiful numbers to us, sweet girl, because they tell us that you were here. You had weight in this life.

Your sisters were a little nervous when they came, but as they looked you over, God showed them who you were. The peace that had filled the room for the entire day rested on them, and they began to laugh and to talk to you as they would any other new baby. They each held you carefully, and kissed your sweet, clean skin. While they were all gathered around me on the bed, your nurse Candace came to listen to your heart. I asked her to be sensitive because of the girls, and after listening for a few minutes, she told me quietly that you were gone. The girls never knew that they had been present for that moment, and I thank God that He took you that way. There was never anything but peace. We sang over you as God welcomed you into heaven.

I cry for you often. I miss the smell of your skin and your perfect little nose. My arms ache from emptiness. I tell your daddy all the time that I just want to hold you again. I cannot see to write these words because my eyes overflow with the tears of a mother who has been asked to give her daughter away. I knew I would love you when I met you. I knew you would become a part of me. What I didn't know was that instead of feeling like it was a brief encounter, I feel like the world stood still. He somehow gave us an entire lifetime of memories in such a short time. I didn't feel like I lost a baby, I felt like I said goodbye to someone I had always known, who had been my daughter for years and years. Even now, as I write, it seems impossible that you were only with us for 2 1/2 hours. Thank you Lord, for giving us all the time we could have asked for with her. The clock was insignificant... we knew her deeply, a lifetime's worth.

Audrey, you have no idea how you have impacted those around you. Did you see all of the nurses who cried when they came to see me? Did you hear the nurse manager tell me that since you had been born, the name of the Lord had been spoken repeatedly at their station in a way it never had? That you, my love, had brought them together? Did you know that the people who came to your birth who knew nothing of your story talked about the "amazing peace" that filled the room inexplicably? Do you know that there were radio stations all over the country announcing that your mommy was going into surgery while people drove home to their familes? Do you know they asked for prayer as you entered the world; that strangers dropped to their knees on your behalf? Do you know how many people have met Jesus because of you? There is more than I can fit here, Audrey. More than I can fit anywhere. You are the greatest miracle that I have ever been a part of, and I want you to know how incredibly proud I am to have been chosen to be your mommy. I promise you that I will never stop being your voice here on earth. I will tell everyone about the little girl who came in a 3 pound body to change hearts. I will always miss you, Audrey; there will never be a day where you are not a part of us. I want you to know that you changed me, honey. You made mommy so brave because of how much I loved you. I am so proud to have a scar to remember where you once were.

Today we are going to sit as a family and we are going to take the band-aids off the bunny that we have carried for months. We are going to tell your sisters about the way that Jesus has healed you...that you don't need those anymore because you are well. You are perfect. Thank you Lord.

As I have been writing, the rain is pounding on my window. It is what many would call a very dark and ugly day, with no sign of sunshine. Because of you, Audrey, it is not that way to me any more.

It is an answer to prayer.

Jesus, you have brought us the rain and we praise You for it. We lift up the God that made us strong enough to love our little girl the way she deserved to be loved. And we trust that You will continue to use her as a vessel of your goodness, of your faithfulness. Lord, you have shown me that when this life is empty, you will fill. You have walked with us in a way we could never have imagined. What seemed like a cross to bear has now taken the shape of a great blessing which we are honored to have been a part of. Thank you, Lord. You are the light of our lives, now and forever.

Mature Audience Only

Whenever there is a certain program on TV that I don't want my 3 yr old son to watch, I turn it off and tell him that show is "only for grown ups" One evening when we had people over for dinner he walked right up to on our family friends and said, " My mom watches adult movies."

I got a subscription to PARENTS magazine and had to share some funny "Baby Bloopers" or funny things kids say, that parents have sent in to share. I just love these lol

I would like to ask everyone to please pray for my uncle. Two days ago he woke up and was paralyzed, and eneded up in st. thomas. They ran some tests and found he had a slip disk in his neck that was laying on a nerve causing paralysis. They did the surgery yesterday. It was a 6 hour surgery, and when he came out of it he had total loss of muscle strength and they are having to run more test on him because they think he may have lou gehrings disease. My mom has lost one brother this year and is so tore up with all this. My uncle needs LOTS of prayers. We all know God can perform miracles if we come to him in need! PLease say an extra prayer for my uncle and my family. We would appreciate it. Have a good rest of the week.

looking back

Nobody really realizes it until looking back that by making that walk down the isle your walking into a lifetime full of happiness and suprises and knowing one day your going to have a family together and all the stuff you guys are going to endeavor along the way. I never dreamed of how wonderful my life would be, and I know this may say corny but God has truly gave me the world by giving me aubrey, and now our son, in my life. I mean he is everything I could ask for and more and I truly pray for the ones still searching for their special one, to find that one, and to experience the happiness and joy and love that aubrey and I have with each other. It just gets better and better every day. Marriage is a commitment to each other and to God. It is so sacred and so precious that I wish more people see it the way they ought to. I have always said and believe with all my heart that what helps people in a marriage is honesty, loyalty, commitment, love, GOD, but also never going to bed angry, always apologizing first even if you think your right and he is wrong because in the end it doesn't matter who is right or wrong. I know I am young, and I know you learn so much about marriage and life the older you grow, I am just so thankful that aubrey and I can show that just because we are young doesn't mean our marriage doesn't stand a chance. I believe with every marriage if you work together and grow in love and in God you will be okay.

I mean looking back when we first started dating, I wouldn't have thought that wow one day , six years from now, we will be married and fixing to welcome our son into this world. I just have to pinch myself! God truly has a plan for everyone and when you stop and look at what he wants you to see you will find what you are looking for. Some people are just so blinded by the things that doesnt matter and thats why they cant find their happiness. Its like when you find that one just for you everything falls in place. The others in the past didnt work out because its like a puzzle not all the pieces fit until you find the right one to connect it. I always knew aubrey would be the one its just so surreal to know we are married now and having a baby. I know this next chapter in our life will change our lives forever. I am so ready more than ever to meet this little guy inside me and be his mom. Life is full of blessings and I am truly blessed. Isn't Our God a Wonderful God!

She is her daddy's girl for sure! I think she is starting to realize there is something going on with me, because she has followed me around everywhere here lately( more than usual) and she sneaks into the baby's room and sniffs out everything trying to figure out why we are always in there. I was looking for her one day and I noticed the nursery door slightly open , so I pushed the door open and she was laying on the rug by the crib LOL She loves babies and kids but I wonder how she will do once anden is here to stay. The second photo is her getting excited as we are pulling up to "her" nana's house LOL You can say , " Want to go to nan's?" and she has a fit lol I just love her:)

I also came in when putting the bedding on the crib and found this lol she is gonna be so jealous, because right now she is the only baby lol

SHOW US YOUR LIFE- Wedding Reception/ honeymoon

I believe our reception was the hardest part to plan and decorate for our wedding. Of course everything had a fall touch to it. We had a memory table set up with our grandparents photos on it, and we also had a special candle made that said " In Loving Memory" And we had it lit as everyone walked downstairs to the recepetion. We had a fall scene with haystacks and pumpkins for decorations. ( Ill post those pictures whenI get home:) Bridget Powers made my wedding cake. It was a 22 layer cake and all kinds of fall accents! I had a water fountain underneath my cake as well. Aubrey's groom's cake was of a softball field( his 2nd home lol).

We was so blessed to have our closest friends there to celebrate our special day with us. Aubrey's best man, Brian, a friend since highschool caught the garter:) and my sister-in-law caught my bouquet, and she is now married! what a coincidence;)

I Still Cannot get over this picture about how long my hair was! Debi did an awesome job on my hair! I loved every bit of my day!

Our Food was ammazing! Bridget also did the catering at our wedding. We had food everywhere and boy was it delicous! Here is a picture of one of our food tables with My servers and I! Thank Heaven for these girls. I would have been lost without you girls!

This was one of my favorite snapshots of aubrey smashing the cake in my face. He got the biggest kick out of that because he somehow got it all over me and I didn't get any on him! lol

Hailey, one of my great friends, was really a great friend that day. She helped me clean up aubrey's mess that was all over me lol I do not know what i would have done without her!

Our Wedding will be forever one of the greatest days of our lives. It truly was everything I could have wanted and more. I had my dream wedding with my dream guy. God has truly blessed me!

This is one of my favorite dishes to make so I thought I would share it with you. I loove italian food. Spaghetti, lasagna, chicken alfredo, shrimp scampi..mmm Ijust love it. This dish is called Chicken and Cheese Penne Casserole. This recipe is fairly easy it just takes a little longer to prepare because everything you see here is pretty much homemade. I make my own creole seasoning instead of buying it( cheaper lol) and I make my own sauce for the chicken and pasta. Takes a little longer but soo worth it. Here are the ingredients you will need:

disregard the cookie crisp lol

8 ounces penne pasta ( I just buy a small box unless you are feeding more people)
1 tablespoons olive oil
1 to 1 1/2 pounds boneless chicken breast halves, cut in small cubes
1/2 teaspoon Creole seasoning or a seasoned salt blend ( I will give you my homemade version)
2 tablespoons butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup or whole milk
1 cup chicken broth ( I use the rest of it to put on the bottom of my casserole dish when baking.)
2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese, divided
1 cup natural shredded Parmesan cheese, divided, about 3 ounces
salt and pepper, to taste

Now to make it!

Heat oven to 350°. Grease a 2- to 2 1/2-quart baking dish.

Cook penne pasta in boiling salted water following package directions. Drain in a colander, rinse, and set aside.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet. Add chicken and Creole seasoning. Cook until chicken is cooked through . Remove the chicken and mushroom mixture to a bowl and set aside.

Melt the butter in the same skillet because you have some olive oil and seasoning already in the pan, and stir in garlic. Cook, stirring, for about 1 minute. Blend flour into the butter mixture until smooth and bubbly. Stir in milk and chicken broth.It will make like a gravy mixture by the way it thickens. Cook, stirring, until thickened. Add 1 1/2 cups of the Mozzarella cheese and about half of the Parmesan cheese and cook until melted. Stir in the chicken mixture. Taste and add salt and pepper, as desired.

Combine the sauce and pasta and transfer to your baking dish. Sprinkle with the remaining cheeses and sprinkle lightly with paprika. Add the rest of your chicken broth to the bottom of your dish I promise you this makes it so much better!

Bake for 20 to 30 minutes, until lightly browned and bubbly. I serve this with a salad and rolls!

Here is my recipe for creole seasoning. Its easier and simple!
1/4 cup salt
3 tablespoons granulated garlic or garlic powder. Make sure you get garlic powder and not garlic salt!
3 tablespoons ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon paprika

Put the rest you dont use in the cabinet for next time!

Excessive Sleepiness...

OKay I know it is normal to be tired alot during pregnancy, but how much is too much or is it okay? I came home last night at 6 p.m and went right to bed. The whole day I could barely stay awake. I slept from 6p.m saturday until 9:00 a.m this morning( and I had to make myself get up for church) Thats 15 hours straight. I then went to church around 11 and got back home around 12:30 ish. I was so tired all through church that I couldnt hardly keep my eyes open. I then went to take a nap around 1 and didn't wake up until 4:30, and it was only because I was hungry and needed to start supper. I could so sleep the rest of the night. Is this normal to be that tired. I am 6 months pregnant, is the further along you get the more tired you are? when should I be worried?

Aubrey and I got married on November 17, 2007. We have been together a total of 5 and 1/2 years and married for almost two. We chose november because I too LOOVE the fall. I love everything about the fall. The leaves changing colors, the cold weather, the fair( mainly because of the food). I wanted to have a fall wedding and thanks to my mom and many others who were involved I had the wedding of my dreams.

Our brides maids wore floor length satin dress, chocolate in color with accents of burnt orange. Our groomsmen also wore chocolate tuxedos with orange vests. Our bouquets was made with beautiful fall flowers, along with our boutineers and crosages. During our ceremony, we lit a unity candle, which during that time we played a slideshow with our childhood pictures. ( which brought our parents, even the dads, to tears.) Our song playing suring the slide show was, "when I said I do." by clint black and lisa Hartman Black. Other songs played during the wedding were Unchained Melody Sung by Leann Rimes, which was my parents song when they were married,"My Best Friend" by Tim Mcgraw, we had the bridal and bridal party symphony, and after the vows the song by Randy Travis " Forever and Ever Amen."

My brides maids consisted of my family, even though I had tons a friends I included in the wedding, I had my family has my bridesmaids because they have been a part of me all my life. My Matron of Honor was my cousin Misty, I had two maidens of honor, my two sisters, Shelby and Shawna, and As a bridesmaid I had aubrey's sister( who is like my biological sister in my eyes) Melissa . Aubrey had his best friends as his groomsmen. He had two Best men, friends since highschool, Terry and Brian . He had his other two friends that he grew close to playing softball as groomsmen, Justin and Tyler .

Our Ring Barrier was my little brother( yes we are 13 years apart) Dylan . My flower girl who was aubreys cousin, Miss Amy Grace, was escorted by her brother, and dropped fall leaves down the isle instead of petals. We Included the rest of our cousins in the wedding by being table attendants and ushers. Can't Wait until Next Week to show off the reception!

AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER!!!

I have been baby crazy since I found out I was pregnant, luckily I have a terrific husband who is just as excited as I am so he doesn't mind lol I had my great, may I say very talented, friend chandi Nunley( check out her work at chanikkiimagery link on my blog)to create some unique baby shower invitations!!

We are going with the jungle theme and I am soooo excited about all the ideas we have for it! We are having a tiki bar hut and ,thanks to chandi and kacen, life size jungle animals everywhere!! hehe Its going to be like walking right into a jungle! I just love it:o) here is what my shower invitations are gonna look like. We may have to do some changes to the writing not sure yet, but I just loooooovvveee them. It even goes with the jungle theme!! Did I say how much I love them lol Thanks so much chandi!! Anden and I really appreciate it :o)

On another note, aren't dad to be's so cute?! Aubrey has already taken on the hands on dad title. He has came straight home from work and even on his lunch break to put anden's crib and changing table together. Everytime he talks about him his eyes just lights up. It truly melts my heart. When I first found out I was pregnant I was only 6 weeks pregnant. This pregnancy has went by so fast.I am going on six months! Overall, I thank God for blessing me with a wonderful, life changing, healthy, pregnancy. This experience is truly life changing. I look at everything so differently now. I catch myself thinking about the future more because everything we do now will affect our kids later on. I have started listening to the world around us. Its a sad sad world and I want to do all that I can to make sure we bring our son up in the right ways. Our kids are the next generation. I don't want to leave a mess for them! I want things to be safe for my children! Its so nerve racking! LOL anyways I just wanted to tell everyone that we have decided on a name. We decided to go with ANDEN WADE GREEN. Alot of people liked Ayden, but I got to thinking we wanted something totoally different and ayden is just everywhere now. We fell in love withthe name from the get go and we couldn't get away from it lol. We have started on the nursery! We got it painted, its a faux flower blue. We got our all star bedding for our little all star! We even got our furniture! All we have left to do is put the crib together and hang up decorations! Brandie I will be getting in contact with you soon!:):) Well Im gonna go work on the nursery. Pictures to come!

I got this idea from checking out brandie's blog and thought it would be a lot of fun! Yesterday was show us your wedding dress day! (Remember next week is show us your wedding party and flowers.)Hey Single Girls - join in the fun and show us your DREAM dress!

My Dress was a White Strapless Gown with sequin and diamond accents. The dress tapered around the front to give me more of a shaped figure( My favorite part:) It then flared out with a gorgeous 6 foot train! I knew it was the dress the minute I tried it on! It just put all the other dresses I had in mind to shame!

My veil was long and had a satin trim. My diamond tiara added the extra touch. I truly felt like cinderella on my wedding day.
